Community Ophthalmology

“Hospital to Commmunity” was the motto of LF hospital since its inception. We are the pioneers in conducting community based screening programmes in Kerala. The mobile eye camps, school screening programmes, training to teachers, Anganwadi workers, Kudumbasree volunteers, etc. were the brain child of our community ophthalmology department.  Every week we conduct around 4 to 5 camps and more than a lakh people are screened through these camps every year.   Teleophthalmology facility is an added advantage for the community ophthalmology department.
