The department of Ophthalmology in Little Flower Hospital started functioning in 1964. It was the first eye department in the private sector in the state of Kerala at that time.  The department which began its journey with one general eye specialist has grown to a tertiary eye care set up, with specialists and state of the art facilities, in all the subspecialties.
