The department Audiology and Speech Language Pathology established in the year 1998, deals with normal and pathological communication across the life span.

Our newly commissioned Audiology and Speech Language Pathology department in hospital provides consultation and services related to the treatment of Hearing, Balance, Speech and Language Disorders, in association with the department of ENT and our panel of eminent Doctors.

Hearing loss can occur due to variety of factors including:-

Congenital deformities

Ageing

Continuous exposure to loud sounds

Certain type of acute ear infection

Ear trauma as a result of a accidents or injuries

 

SERVICES WE PROVIDE:

The Audiology Department has an excellent sound proof room maintained as per ANSI standards and is currently fully fledged with state -of –the-art diagnostic equipments.

Pure toe audiometry

Speech audiometry

Immittance audiometry

Oto acoustic emission (new born hearing test)

VNG test for vertigo

Hearing aid evaluation and fitting

Dispensing of digital programmable rechargeable and non rechargeable hearing aids

(BTE, ITC, CIC, RIC)

 

SPEECH LANGUAGE PATHOLOGY:

Adult and children with speech, language and cognitive disorders, will get the compassionate and comprehensive care they need in the division of speech pathology

Our speech and language pathologist are skilled for diagnosing and managing of all speech language and cognitive disorders.

Cognitive disorders associated with acquired brain injury, stroke and dementia
